Heritage

Provenance

Velvetine is not a generic felt. It is the professional cloth casinos across the UK and Europe deal on every night. It takes thousands of hands a day, keeps cards gliding true, and holds its colour under the lights.

When you order a layout, your design is printed straight into the fibres in our London facility. The colour becomes part of the cloth rather than sitting on top, so it never cracks, peels, or fades.

There is a weight and softness to the cloth that cheaper alternatives cannot fake. A dense polyester pile sits on a stabilising backing that holds shape while allowing just enough give to fit tight and flat across a table, so layouts go on cleanly without wrinkles. The same backing carries the fire-retardant protection through to UK contract-furnishing standards.

Protection

Sealed Against Spills

Casino tables get drinks spilled on them. Every Velvetine layout is finished with a clear, invisible seal that holds liquid on the surface instead of letting it soak in.

A knocked-over glass of wine or coffee beads on top and wipes straight off, with no stain and no soaking. That means faster clean-ups, less downtime mid-event, and layouts that stay presentable for longer. The seal does not change the feel of the cloth or the way cards slide.

Performance

Why Velvetine

Dealer-Friendly Playing Surface

A smooth, consistent surface keeps cards and chips moving cleanly and predictably across the whole layout. Dealers and players notice the difference the moment a hand is dealt.

Vibrant Colour Reproduction

Your colours, logos, and artwork print deep into the fibres, sharp and accurate. Where cheaper surface printing looks flat and fades, this holds its depth.

Built for Continuous Use

Velvetine is made for tables that run all day and night. It resists wear, holds its colour, and keeps its shape, so a layout in heavy rotation looks the same after a season as it did on day one.
